Milo turned 16 months last week, but because we were so sickly I missed it! He's practically a 2-year-old. A lot of people assume he is much older than he actually is, because he looks so big for his age.
Milo's new words include "outside," "all done," "mama," (HE SAYS MAMA SOMETIMES!!!), and he understands almost everything we say to him.
He will tell you the animal sounds for dog, cow, fish, and monkey.
He can show where his face pieces are. (Face pieces? Not the right word...) such as, eyes, nose, ears, mouth and hair.
Recently everything is funny to Milo, and he has developed the cutest little fake laugh.
He laughs at every tiny thing he does, and at random things that other people do.
When people around him are giggling, he will chime in with his own laugh so as to not be left out of the fun.
Perhaps my favorite new trick of his is prayer time.
He will fold his arms all by himself, and sometimes will stop eating to fold his arms and say his own little prayer. It usually goes something like, "ody ody ody dody dody do," and then he holds his arms up and says "all done!" I love it.
We have begun letting him eat some of his meals at the table. He likes it because he can escape, but he has been getting a little better at mealtime. In his high chair, or at the table, we are making a little improvement on actually eating.
He loves his stuffed puppy and blankets, and LOVES little girls. He is mostly indifferent to little boys, and he plays with them with a little interest.
But girls! Oh man. He loves them. He wants to hold their hands, and show them the best toys. Little babies he wants to rub their heads and hand them toys and play with their feet.
His mouth is exploding with teeth, and he is always covered in drool these days. Four teeth on top, three on bottom, and THREE molars coming in.
His poor mouth...but his smile is ridiculously adorable. He has the cutest little gap in his teeth.
He and daddy are really into wrestling lately. Dane will 'tackle' him to the ground (gently) and Milo will laugh and laugh. Apparently dad is a funny guy.
We love our little man. Absolutely he is the best decision we have ever made as a married couple.
